The Deauville Hotel is the architectural gem of North Beach and the centerpiece of its commercial area. Unlike Champlain Towers, the Deauville was designed by a renowned architect (Melvin Grossman, of the Acapulco Princess, Caesar’s Palace, Doral Country Club, Edition Hotel, etc.) The owners claim the Deauville is structurally unsound, but this was never verified by a full, independent structural engineering assessment. Miami Design Preservation League’s analysis of the owners’ report finds that demolition is not imminently required. Please help preserve our historic, architectural, and cultural heritage: Reverse the decision by the Miami Beach Building Official to issue the demolition permit based on the flawed structural report from the neglectful owners. Please vote YES to grant MDPL's appeal.

NOTICE IS GIVEN that a meeting of the Board of Rules and Appeals – is scheduled for Thursday, April 21, 2022, at 1:00 p.m., 11805 SW 26^th Street in Conf. Room I and J. This in-person Board meeting may also be accessed by the public virtually utilizing communications media technology.
